Mothi Tripura, a participant from Bolipara parish, Bandarban, told that the training workshop was very far-reaching to the hilly region. They are now equipped with the required skills to organize various programs with the youth in different parishes in hilly areas.
Diocesan Animators’ Training Workshop-2023 was held from 9 to 11 March 2023 at Fiat Pastoral Centre, Bandarban. Thirty-two youths from all parishes of the Chattogram Archdiocese participated in this workshop. The workshop’s theme was set to “Role of Animators in the Synodal Church.”
“In this training, I learnt a new aspect of animation. I hope, from now on, I shall be able to organize youth programs in my parish more responsibly and systematically,” said Proma Gomez, a participant from Diang Parish, Chattogram.
Diocesan Youth Coordinator Mr. Mickey Paul Gonsalves presented a session on topics “Who is an animator, the necessity of youth animators, the role of animators in youth activities, and creativity, roles & responsibilities of an animator.” He emphasized how animators can improve their skills and fulfil their responsibilities.
Diocesan Financial Administrator Fr. Pankaj Perera conducted a session about the qualities and values of animators. He highlighted the values of responsibility, patience, self-confidence, organization, communication, sacrifice, creativity, empathy, accountability, positivity, and integrity.
Jesus Youth Fulltimer & Missionary Mr. Partho Leonard Costa shared his session about
program animation and related skills. He conducted his session with participatory action songs which made the participants lively. Mr. Partho shared many aspects of successfully animating a program.
Diocesan Pastoral Coordinator Mr. Manik Wilver D’ Costa discussed on program planning and execution. In this sharing animators learnt how they can make plans for the programs and the necessary tools for preparing and executing a successful and effective program.
