Sacred Heart of Jesus Seminary is inaugurated by Most. Rev. Moses M. Costa, csc- Archbishop of Chittagong on 4 May 2018. Fr. Samar Dango, omi is appointed as the 1st rector of the seminary and 12 students primarily joined the seminary.
The inauguration ceremony began with a procession towards the premises of the seminary where the holy mass was offered by Archbishop Moses Costa,csc. 25 priests from all around Bangladesh co-celebrated the mass. After the mass Archbishop Moses, Provincial- Fr. Ajit, OMI and Rector of the Seminary- Fr.
Samar Dango blessed the seminary with holy water. After the ceremony Rector Fr. Samar Dango and the 12 seminarians were received through flowers and gifts. After the mass there was a short cultural program followed by lunch. Around 300 parishioners witnessed and participated in this historical and joyful ceremony.
