The annual general meeting of Chattogram archdiocesan commissions and desks was held
on Wednesday, 8 March 2023 at the archdiocesan training centre, Chattogram. The archdiocesan pastoral coordinating committee organized the AGM which was well attended by 115 members from 13 commissions and 4 desks. The AGM was presided over by the Archbishop of Chattogram, His Grace, Most Rev. Lawrence Subrato Howlader, CSC and facilitated by the Archdiocesan Development Coordinator Mr Mickey Paul Gonsalves.
The AGM began with a prayer service led by the assistant pastoral coordinator Fr. Sumon Peter Costa, CSC. The pastoral coordinator Mr Manik Willver D’Costa then welcomed the newly appointed 10 coordinators and co-coordinators of different commissions and desks. 8th March was international women’s day. The AGM, therefore, greeted the women present in the AGM with flower sticks.
Secretary of the last AGM Mr Clement Lincoln Gomes read
out the minutes on which the members present had elaborate discussions and corrections. As per the agenda, the coordinators and co-coordinators of the commissions and desks presented the reports of activities held in 2022 and planning for 2023. The AGM came to an end with an evaluation speech from the archbishop and a vote of thanks.
