Archdiocesan Coordinating Committee searches for an alternative strategy for pastoral programs

For the last two years, desks and commissions of Chattogram Catholic Archdiocese are

hardly having any programs organized due to the Covid-19 pandemic. There are 13 commissions and 2 desks in the Chattogram Catholic Archdiocese. Coordinators and co-coordinators of the commissions and desks are the members of the archdiocesan pastoral coordinating committee which had a meeting on Friday, 25 June 2021 at the archbishop’s house conference hall. The meeting was presided over by His Grace, Archbishop Lawrence Subrato Howlader, CSC aimed to search for an alternative strategy for organizing pastoral formation programs.

The meeting had an elaborate discussion on the issue and resolute that instead of diocesan or regional level programs with the larger groups, cluster programs at the parish level would be better for the smaller groups of a maximum of 50. At the city parishes, non-residential programs could be organized for a maximum of 2-3 hours each day with a duration of 5-7 days.

Diocesan pastoral coordinator Mr. Manik Willver D’Costa announced the new leadership of the diocesan commissions and desks for a term of next three years. The list of the leadership is furnished below.
