Archdiocesan Development Board: A door to enter into a new era!

Archdiocesan Development Board, Chattogram was a long-cherished dream of Late Archbishop Moses M. Costa, CSC. In that view, he has established an office namely a development office back in 2017. The office is responsible for assessing the development needs of the archdiocese, formulating project proposals, marketing the projects, resource management, executing the development activities, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting.

A development board consisting of five members was formed in 2019 to govern the development office and its activities. The members are the Archbishop as the Chairman, Mr. Mickey Paul Gonsalves as the Ex-Officio Secretary and Fr. Pankaj Ignatius Pereira, Mr./s Remi S. Das & Manik Willver D’Costa as the members. For the rise of the Corona Pandemic during 2020, it could not initiate its journey.

The first meeting of the board was held on Thursday, 24 June 2021 at 10.30 am at the Archbishop’s House Conference Room. His Grace, Lawrence Subrato Howlader, CSC chaired the meeting. The meeting mainly discussed the aspects and scopes of the board for formulating a memorandum of understandings and by-laws. It is expected that the board will take care of the project partners, local investment, property management, etc. It is expected that in near future the board will be a door to enter into a new era!
