Deacon Sadhan Augustine Gregory is ordained catholic priest on Friday, 25th November 2016 in an hours long Eucharistic ceremony in the cathedral of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, Chittagong. Bishop of Chittagong Catholic diocese Most Rev. Moses Costa, CSC along with Most Rev. Bishop Gervas Rozario of Rajshahi and 32 other priests ordained him to catholic priesthood.
On the previous day a welcoming ceremony and Eucharistic adoration also took place. Deacon Sadhan Augustine Gregory is welcomed from the Holy Cross Brothers’ residence and brought to the church in where the traditional customs and Eucharistic adoration took place. On 25th after the mass faithful in Chittagong organized a reception program to the newly ordained priest followed by a fellowship meal.
Father Sadhan Augustine Gregory is born in Mariabad Parish, Borni under Rajshahi diocese
from the parents Mr. Anthony Gregory and Mrs. (late) Carmel Gomes on 2nd February 1980.
He entered into Holy Spirit Major Seminary, Banani, Dhaka in 2006. Earlier that he completed his bachelor on arts degree in 2005 from Notre Dame College, Dhaka. Later on Sadhan Augustine Gregory joined Chittagong diocese and ordained deacon on 27th May 2016 in the Holy Spirit Major Seminary, Banani. Father Sadhan served in Chittagong cathedral for his deaconate ministry.
