Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) is a worldwide ecumenical organization. The
Chattogram wing of the association is known as Chittagong YMCA. During the countrywide lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic started from 26 March 2020, the members of the association decided to stand at the side of the affected people in Chattogram metropolitan city.
With the members’ contribution, the association was able to assist 110 families residing in the city who are the followers of different Churches. During 6-8 May the association assisted 7 families from
Feringeebazar Baptist Church, 46 families from Cathedral Church, 12 families from Jubilee Road Christ Church, 5 families from Dampara Baptist Church, 11 families from Zion Baptist Church, 5 Families from Kalurghat Baptist Church, 7 families from Bethlehem A.G. Church, and 11 families from Jamalkhan Catholic Church. The association also assisted other 6 families from its own list.
