“I wish if I could sing, dance and enjoy everyday like today! I have understood more deeply the life of Jesus Christ by participating the seminar today. It is a great opportunity for me to pass the whole day with the children of my age.” said Shirliana Chowdhury (age 6) one of the 230 children participating in the Holy Childhood Seminar held in Bandarban parish on 4th March 2016.
The seminar is held to guide the children of Holy Childhood Association to explore the mercy of God in personal life and to help other children. Theme of the event was “Mercy of God in our life.”
Parish Priest of Bandarban Father Dominic Sarkar, CSC presented speech on “Year of Mercy” and Holy Childhood Animator Sr. Mary Josepha, SMRA taught on everyday prayer.
Father Dominic emphasized on love of Jesus Christ for us and urged to the children to love each other. He inspired children to perform works of charity and assist other children of their age. He also asked children to participate in daily family prayer.
