Chittagong archdiocese is blessed with abundant natural beauties. The Archdiocese has enormous hill tracts at one side and The Bay of Bengal in the other. Cox’s bazar which is the longest uninterrupted sea beach in the world is situated in the south of the Archdiocese. It’s unfortunate that there’s no establishment of Catholic Church in entire Cox’s Bazar till now. Presently it’s under Alikadam parish.
On 12 November 2018 Archbishop Moses Costa Offered Mass at World Vision Office Cox’s Bazar. It was a great evening for the Christians living in Cox’s Bazar most of whom are residing there due to official activities. Parish priest of Alikadam Fr. Soroj Costa, Omi, Rector of Sacred Heart Minor Seminary Fr. Somor Dango, Omi and Parish Priest of Lama Parish Fr. Valentine Talang, Omi con-celebrated with the archbishop. Many of the NGO officers attended the mass.
