The Catholic Church recognizes September 8 as a feast day celebrating the birth of Virgin Mary. On this day in ‘The Our Lady of Holy Rosary Cathedral’ Archbishop Moses Costa, csc blessed an sculpture of Maria Bambina which he received as a gift during his Pallium Imposition ceremony through a holy mass attended by many faithfuls. The mass took place in front of the Grotto of Mother Mary in the campus of the Cathedral Church. Maria Bambina is a image of infant Mary which is exposed for veneration on 8th of September, the feast of Mary’s Nativity.   Archbishop Moses expressed his wish in his homily to install the sculpture in a chapel of Cathedral Church so that people can come and pray to this miraculous image of infant Mary.
