Lama is one of the 7 parishes of Chittagong Hill Tracts. Presently there are almost 2000 Catholics living scattered in 25 villages of Lama upazilla. Tongojhiri is one of this villages which was declared as the second Marian Pilgrimage spot of Chittagong Archdiocese. His grace Archbishop Moses M. Costa, csc made this declaration on 28 October in the second marian pilgrimage in this place. More than 500 people attended this pilgrimage.
