On 4–5 December 2025, the Chattogram Catholic Archdiocese hosted Jubilee 2025 at the Holy Rosary Cathedral Church. More than 1,300 Catholic faithful—including priests, brothers, sisters, and parishioners from across the different parishes of the archdiocese—gathered for the two-day celebration.
The event opened on 4 December with an inauguration ceremony featuring an entrance hymn, a ceremonial blowing of traditional horns, and the release of balloons carrying the Jubilee logo. Traditional welcome dances were performed, and participants shared reflections on the significance of the Jubilee year.
Archbishop Lawrence Subrato Howlader, CSC, delivered the welcome address. The opening day concluded with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, followed by a screening of a Jubilee documentary and devotional hymns.
On 5 December, Archbishop Lawrence Subrato Howlader, CSC and Vicar General Father Terence Rodrigues raised both the Jubilee Year flag and the national flag, officially marking the second day of festivities. A commemorative plaque was unveiled, and pigeons were released as a symbol of peace. The clergy and faithful then processed joyfully through the Holy Door before entering the church for the Christmas season Eucharistic celebration.
