A Thanksgiving ceremony following the Deacon Rupoak priestly ordination program was held at Diang Miriam Parish, bringing together church leaders, organizers, and members of various committees involved in the ordination. The program served as a moment of gratitude, reflection, and evaluation of the recently concluded ordination celebrations.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Archbishop Lawrence Subrato Howlader, Archbishop of the Chattogram Catholic Archdiocese. Also present were Mickey Paul Gonsalves, program and development head, and Fr. Terence Rodrigues, vicar general of the Chattogram Archdiocese. Members of all committees associated with the ordination program were in attendance as well.
During the Thanksgiving ceremony, participants engaged in open discussion on various aspects of the ordination program. Speakers reflected on the planning, coordination, and execution of the events, highlighting both the strengths of the program and areas that require improvement. Emphasis was placed on teamwork, discipline, and collective responsibility in organizing large-scale church events.
The discussion also focused on future planning, with recommendations on how similar programs can be conducted more effectively in the coming years. Suggestions were shared regarding better coordination among committees, improved logistics, and deeper community involvement to ensure smoother and more impactful celebrations.
The ceremony concluded in an atmosphere of gratitude and unity, as participants expressed appreciation for the efforts of all those involved. Organizers stated that the Thanksgiving program was not only an expression of thanks but also a step toward learning, growth, and better preparation for future pastoral and liturgical events at the parish and diocesan levels.
