Pope Francis who is on the second leg of his Nov. 27-Dec. 2 apostolic visit to Myanmar and Bangladesh, Friday morning celebrated Holy Mass at the Suhrawardy Udyan Park Friday morning, during which he ordained 16 priests.
In the afternoon, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was to pay a courtesy visit the Holy Father at the Apostolic Nunciature. The Pope then was to leave for a visit to St. Mary’s Cathedral and hold two meetings at the nearby Archbishop’s House – with the bishops of Bangladesh at the home for elderly priests, and an Inter-religious and Ecumenical Meeting for Peace in the garden.
