A two-day religious and cultural program was organized at Miriam Parish in the Diang area on the occasion of the priestly ordination of Deacon Rupok. The event was regarded as a significant and joyful moment for the Christian community, drawing the participation of clergy members, religious faithful, and invited guests. The entire ashram and church premises reflected a solemn and festive atmosphere throughout the program.
On the first day, Deacon Rupoak was formally welcomed and received by the clergy and members of the Christian community. This was followed by sacred prayers and religious observances conducted in a reverent and prayerful environment. The faithful took part in collective prayers, scripture readings, and spiritual reflections, seeking God’s blessings for the new phase of Deacon Rupoak’s vocation. Hospitality arrangements were made for participants who had arrived from distant areas.
The second day marked the central event of the program, during which the priestly ordination and Holy Eucharistic celebration of Deacon Rupoak were held at Miriam Ashram premises. In the presence of senior clergy, Deacon Rupok was formally ordained as a priest through sacred rites and liturgical ceremonies. The mass was filled with hymns, prayers, and blessings, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere as a large number of faithful witnessed this important milestone.
Following the ordination, a reception and cultural program were arranged in honor of the newly ordained priest. The program included religious songs, messages of goodwill, and cultural presentations, reflecting joy, gratitude, and communal unity. A communal meal was also arranged as the concluding part of the celebration.
The organizing committee stated that the priestly ordination was not merely a personal achievement but a moment of pride and spiritual renewal for the entire Christian community. Various subcommittees, including those responsible for liturgy, hospitality, and cultural activities, worked in coordination to ensure the smooth and dignified conduct of the program.
Organizers expressed hope that the occasion would strengthen unity, faith, and a spirit of service among the faithful, and that the priestly journey of Father Rupoak would be guided by dedication, humility, and commitment to pastoral service.
