Luxmipur is a sub-parish under the Catholic Archdiocese of Chittagong. The church is built here in 1993 by the patronage of PIME missionary priest Rev. Arturo. It is dedicated to St. Joseph.
On 1st May 2018 the sub-parish celebrated the feast of St. Joseph followed by a Novena started from 22nd April. Each day the Catholics reflected on one special charism of St. Joseph. On the feast day faithful, priest and religious nuns especially reflected on the spiritual gifts in the life of worker St. Joseph. Eucharistic celebration took place to mark the feast. Catholics from Luxmipur and Chandpur took part in raffle draw, children cultural program and fellowship lunch together.
