The 6th death anniversary of the former Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Chattogram, Moses M. Costa, CSC, was observed with deep respect and solemnity at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Cathedral Church in Patharghata, Chattogram.
On this occasion today (July 13), various religious and memorial programs were organized at the Cathedral Church premises. The program began with a special Holy Mass, where special prayers were offered seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of the Archbishop.
Following the Holy Mass, speakers at a memorial gathering respectfully recalled the life, work, and outstanding contributions of Archbishop Moses M. Costa to society. The speakers noted, “He was a spiritual guardian, a humanitarian, and an education enthusiast all at once. His sacrifices and ideals will forever remain alive in the hearts of the people of the Chattogram Archdiocese.”
At the end of the memorial gathering, all attending priests, brothers, sisters, and the ordinary Christian faithful placed floral wreaths at his tomb located within the Cathedral premises. Later, deep respect was paid to the beloved Archbishop through a moment of silence and special prayers beside his grave.
