The Annual General Meeting of the Hill Tracts Pastoral Formation Team, popularly known as CHT-PFT was held in Fiat Pastoral Centre, Bandarban on 2nd September 2022. The AGM was presided over by the Chattogram Archbishop Most Rev. Lawrence Subrato Howlader CSC and facilitated by the Diocesan Pastoral Coordinator Mr Manik Willver D’Costa.
Presently Chattogram Archdiocese has 5 regional commissions namely Commissions for Liturgy and Prayer, Catechetics and Biblical Apostolate, Education, Youth and Health Care. There is a team called the CHT Pastoral Formation Team for the smooth coordination among the regional commissions and to take care of the formation programs not covered by the regional commissions. These bodies were established back in 2017 but were not activated due to the Covid 19 pandemic. So the AGM this year was most likely an orientation program for the new members in which … members participated aiming to start the operation of pastoral forums and bodies.
The AGM discussed the pastoral and administrative structure of Chattogram Archdiocese, the pastoral operational structure in Chattogram Hill Tracts pastoral region, reports of the pastoral programs held in 2021-2022, open discussion and receiving the proposals of the pastoral formation programs in 2022-2023.
