Cathedral: ‘Christian Students’ Organization (CSO)’ of Cathedral Parish has organized a cultural program to celebrate the Bengali New Year 1423 in the premises of cathedral parish, patharghata. The creative stage and amusing performance of children and youths entertained all the audiences. One of the parishioner said, ‘It was a great show by the youths of the parish. We really enjoyed the show along with the family.’
Earlier in the evening a mass was offered in the Cathedral where all the priests, religious and the laity joined with a view to start a new year with the blessings of the Lord. Approximately 300 parishioners enjoyed the cultural show.
Jamalkhan: Jamalkhan Parish also celebrated the Bengali New Year with a Mass. After the mass the parishioners enjoyed the traditional food `Panta-Ilish’.
Diang: Diang parish welcomed the Bengali New Year with a mass in the early morning. The Mass was offered by the parish priest Fr. Leonard C. Rebeiro. Throughout the day there were many other arrangements by the youths of the parish to celebrate the 1st day of the Bengali Calendar 1423.
