Feast day of “Our Lady of Holy Rosary Cathedral’ was observed with festivity on 11 October 2019. There was a mass in the Holy Rosary Cathedral at 9 o’clock in the morning followed by Marian procession to Saint Placid’s School & College ground where the rest of the day was passed through games, fun and cultural program.
‘It was for the first time that the feast day of the Cathedral was observed with such festivity’ said Archbishop Moses M. Costa, csc who offered the mass along with many other 
priests from bishop’s house, Cathedral, Jamalkhan and Noakhali parish. He also said that it was his wish for a long time that the feast day mass will be in the morning followed by games and cultural programs in order to increase the bond between parishioners and bring every member of the parish closer to each other. This year he is amazed and proud to see that wish coming true. He further added that a feast day is not merely for entertainment it is also an occasion to look back how the year was passed and plan for the year ahead.
After the mass there was a Marian procession with devotional rosary prayer from church compound to the SPSC ground. A balloon rosary was lifted after the prayer. Afterwards children, youths, men, women all participated cheerfully in different games. A basketball match took place between youths and seniors of the parish where the youths won by some points. This blessed and beautiful day came to end with a cultural program and lunch.
