Mr. Khuntairai Francis Tripura
A Miriam Pilgrimage took place in the Tongujhiri Para of Lama Parish on 14-15 October which reflected the theme: ‘Mother Mary- Service and Joy in the Family’. Around 250 Villagers from different ‘Para’s under Lama Parish participated in the Pilgrimage. Previously The LHC sisters of Lama visited every village under the Lama parish and prayed Novena with the villagers and gave catechism as the preparation of this Miriam Pilgrimage.
The two days pilgrimage started with the arrival of the pilgrims on 14 October. A mass was offered by the acting parish priest of Lama- Fr. Valentine, omi and was co-celebrated by the assistant parish priest of Thanchi Parish- Fr. Binoy Gomes, csc. After dinner there were reconciliation ceremony and video presentation on Mother Mary by Rosary Ministry.
On the next day 15 October Secretary of CHT Pastoral Service Team- Mr. Khuntairai Tripura shared on the benefit and importance of The Rosary Prayer in tribal Tripura language. Pilgrims gave testimony on the blessings they got from Mother Mary through prayer. The pilgrimage came to an end with a Holy Mass offered by Fr. Binoy Gomes, csc and co-celebrated by Fr. Valentine, omi.
