On the 24th February 2017 162 Missionary Childhood members and their animators participated in a gathering at the parish centre of Moriom Parish. The children adorned themselves with handmade paper caps and balloon in the hands. The gathering is opened with a festive rally across the parish territory which was alive and vibrant with different slogans of the children. In the day long gathering children participated in Holy Eucharist followed by flying of pigeons which
was the official opening of the program. Parish priest Fr. Leonard C. Rebeiro and RNDM Sister Sujita gave catechesis in the program. Fr. Leonard highlighted ‘the importance of the children in families’ and ‘why family love is so important for a child’. One each of the fathers, mothers and youth also shared their feelings on how they see a child in the family. A girl child shared what she should be doing as child and as she grows.
The program also consisted of various games, bible quiz and prize giving ceremony.
