On December 28, 2023, at the Parish of Our Lady of Lourdes in Noakhali, His Grace, Archbishop Lawrence Shubrato Howlader, CSC, ordained Deacon Joy Joseph Quiah to the priesthood. He has been assigned to Khagrachori parish as an assistant parish priest. On December 29, 2023, Father Joy Joseph Quiah sacrificed his Thanksgiving Mass. There was a huge crowd at the ordination ceremony. Almost all the priests and sisters working in the Chattogram Catholic Archdiocese were present. Faithfuls from different parishes were also present in the ordination program. The program ended with a short reception ceremony with astonishing cultural presentations.
