On 08 September 2017, the people of The Archdiocese of Chittagong witnessed a historical event where the 1st Archbishop of Chittagong was invested with the Pallium by his eminence Nuncio George Kochery. The preparation for this event began on May with the 1st meeting of the planning comity. After that it took a lot of hard works of an organizing comity consisting of 139 members to make the whole ceremony a successful one.
There were 14 different sub committees who performed different roles in the arrangement of the program.’The coordination between these committees were excellent and all the members were aware of their duties’ said Fr. Pankaj Ignatius Pereira who was the coordinator of the organizing comity.
Archbishop Moses said that the arrangement waspraised by everyone. It will be a inspiration for the future of the Archdiocese. He also added that asĀ Chittagong archdiocese, we are ‘communion’ and we are ‘mission’. There was a thanksgiving lunch after the evaluation.
