With the vision of instilling the teachings of the Holy Bible and nurturing creativity within the tender minds of children, a ‘Bible-Based Drawing Competition’ was recently organized across four parishes in Chattogram. Held throughout the months of April and May, the event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 112 young children. Through their vivid imagination and deft brushstrokes, these little artists beautifully brought various historical biblical narratives and spiritual figures to life on their canvases.
This vibrant initiative commenced on April 10, 2026, at the Nirmala Maria Parish in Jamalkhan, where 10 children participated with immense zeal. Following this, the competition progressed to the St. Joseph Sub-Parish in Pahartali on April 17, where 21 children exquisitely showcased their artistic flair.
The momentum of the competition reached a festive crescendo in the month of May. On May 1, the premises of the Holy Rosary Cathedral Parish were enlivened by the participation of 21 young artists. Ultimately, the grand culmination of this colorful event took place on May 8 at the Miriam Parish in Diang, Anwara. This concluding phase saw the highest turnout, with 60 children participating in a highly spontaneous and joyous environment.
Representatives of the organizing committee emphasized that the primary objective of this initiative was to foster the latent talents of the children while deeply etching the holy word of God into their hearts through the medium of art. The artworks created by the young competitors were a profound reflection of their innocent perspectives, deep focus, and astonishing artistic potential.
This meticulously organized and aesthetically pleasing event not only radiated pure joy among the participating children but also garnered profound appreciation from the attending parents and the faithful of the respective parishes. All attendees commended this noble endeavor and expressed their earnest desire for the continuation of such constructive and creative initiatives to aid the holistic spiritual and cognitive development of children in the future.
