From the senior most priest to the youngest youth in the Catholic Church of Bangladesh knows a person by a name ‘Robi Da’ who devoted almost his entire life in the service of the Catholic Church through his catechism, counseling and pastoral activities died today at approximately 3.30 in the morning due to extreme asthma attack.
Mr. Robi Christopher D’Costa served mainly as a Catechist

in the Archdiocese of Chittagong later in Barisal Catholic Diocese for 33 years. He has been a pioneer for the Catechists, an evergreen friend and counselor from generation to generation, a devoted Catholic, a mentor and most importantly a loving father and husband.

He traveled all over Bangladesh with his vast knowledge on the scripture and catechism especially in the Archdiocese of Chittagong. He preached all over the Chittagong Hill Tracts and almost all of the present catechists are mentored by him. We deeply mourn for this loss and pray for his departed soul. May God grant him

eternal peace in heaven.
Archbishop Moses also expressed his condolences for the sudden death of Mr. Robi Christopher D’Costa. He said, Robi D’Costa was a good friend of the Catholic Church and has a great contribution to the pastoral activities and evangelization in the greater Chittagong Diocese.
