Likewise every year, the Marian Annual Pilgrimage also took place this year on 9-10 February in Diang, Chattogram. The Solemn Eucharist took place on Friday, 10 February and was attended by around 5000 pilgrims from all over the country. The theme set for the reflection of the final Eucharist was “Mary, our guide in Synodal Church”. Archbishop of Chattogram, His Grace, Lawrence Subrato Howlader, CSC was the main celebrant of the Eucharist while concelebrated by 17 priests from the diocese and outside.
On Thursday, 9 February the pilgrimage journey began with a Eucharistic celebration at 4.30 pm followed by the liturgy of holy adoration and the sacrament of reconciliation. The pilgrims then participated in the Marian Devotion praying the holy rosary while doing a procession across the village of Diang.
