Parish Pastoral Assembly of Cathedral Parish is held on 11th March 2016 in the Parish Hall Room. It was participated by delegates from the parish ward committees, parish organizations and associations, religious societies and nominated leaders roughly 90 in total.
The assembly begins with the prayer led by the Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Terence Rodrigues. After the prayer Diocesan Pastoral Coordinator Mr. Manik Willver D’Costa presented a paper on administrative and hierarchical structure of the Church. Then the revised constitutions and by-laws of the parish is presented for discussion by the participants. Participants attended proposed several modification in the constitutions and by-laws. The proposed constitutions and by-laws including the proposal of the Pastoral Assembly will be sent to the Bishop of Chitagong Diocese Most Rev. Moses Costa, CSC for his final approval.
This is to be noted that the Bishop already approved the proposed constitutions and by-laws on an experimental basis and also instructed to form Pastoral Council as per the instruction in the constitutions and by-laws.
