On December 09-11, 2024, a retreat and evaluation meeting of the Chittagong Archdiocese Pastoral Service Team was held at the Fiat Pastoral Centre in Bandarban. A total of 9 people participated, including Archbishop Lawrence Subrata Howladar, CSC, of Chittagong Archdiocese.
December 9, 2024, Father Elias Sarkar SJ gave self-preparatory instructions for the retreat. He explains the purpose of the retreat and its potential outcomes in the instructions. December 10, 2024: “The Lord is my Shepherd; what do I lack?” Father Elias shared on this topic. Everyone in the pastoral service team is self-aware of the subject and how it relates to their own lives. All then receive the reconciliation, and the period of retreat ends with Holy Mass.
After noon, the evaluation meeting for the pastoral service team started. All the members of the pastoral service team in the said meeting expressed the problems they face while working in their workplace and highlighted their weaknesses. Then all the steps are followed in the light of the last meeting of the pastoral service team.
As a result of that retreat and evaluation, everyone in the pastoral service team was able to self-evaluate and adopt new plans.
