Bangladesh Catholic Students’ Movement started it’s journey in Chittagong 10 years ago with great enthusiasm and appreciation. In this 10 years there were many ups and downs but still the youths are carrying on this movement with a view to build a better society through personal enrichment. On 17 November 2018 BCSM Chittagong organized an orientation seminar communicate the BCSM process, it’s aim and activities with the new as well as the existing members of the movement.

30 youths participated in the seminar where Mr. Manik Willver D’Costa, Fr. Pankaj Pereira and Bro. Rinku Costa, CSC shared on different aspects of youth movement and its necessity in the church. Pastoral Coordinator of Chittagong Archdiocese Mr. Manik Willver D’Costa shared on BCSM Methodology: Aims & Objective. He said that ‘Study session is the major activity of BCSM which should be the source of all the other activities taken by any BCSM unit. An ideal BCSM unit contains 12-15 active members so that every member can share his/her opinion.’ Financial Administrator of Chittagong Archdicese Fr. Pankaj Pereira urged to the youths to participate in different activities of the church through his meditative and highly inspiring session.


Youth Coordinator of Chittagong Archdiocese Bro. Rinku L. Costa, csc conducted a open sharing session where the participants shared spontaneously what they expect from the youth commission and what they can do in order to build a better society. The seminar ended with delicious lunch enjoyed by all.
